Lexus NX Trackers: Fitted S7 and S5 Options

Check whether a tracker is already fitted

Lexus has offered security upgrades for eligible vehicles, including an S7 tracker initiative on some compatible cars. A Lexus Link+ location function is not itself proof of a monitored Thatcham tracker. If you bought your NX used, ask what device is installed, whether its subscription is active, and whether you have the certificate. That can prevent paying for a duplicate installation that your insurer does not require.

When our fitted options make sense

If the existing system is inactive, does not meet the named category, or your insurer requests a different device or fitting method, our monitored S7 and S5 packages give you an alternative. S5 is the option to investigate when the policy explicitly asks for driver recognition. For any claimed acceptance, get confirmation from your own insurer for the actual device and service.

Choose S7 or S5 from your policy wording

If your schedule names Thatcham S5, an S7 system is not a substitute. S5 adds driver recognition to monitored tracking. If the policy says S7, or specifies a named device, installer or monitoring arrangement, check those details with your insurer before ordering. A Thatcham category does not by itself guarantee acceptance or a lower premium.

Fitting, monitoring and the certificate

For our standard fitted tracker packages, the product price includes the device and professional installation. Monitoring is separate at £10.99 per month. After checkout we confirm the fitting arrangement; following installation, activation and checks, review the certificate and send it to your insurer if requested.
