What does a Thatcham car tracker do?
A monitored vehicle tracker helps locate your car if it is stolen and supports the monitoring team’s response. Choose the category and device your insurer accepts. Tracking is one layer of vehicle security; it cannot guarantee that theft will be prevented or that a vehicle will be recovered.
What is the difference between S7, S5 and S5 Plus?
S7 provides tracking and monitoring. S5 adds Automatic Driver Recognition using a driver tag. Our S5 Plus packages combine S5 tracking with added immobilisation. S5 Plus is our package description, rather than a separate Thatcham certification category.
Does a tracker need a subscription?
Our monitored trackers need an active monitoring plan. Monthly monitoring is £10.99, with the first month paid at checkout and ongoing payments set up separately after purchase. You can also choose a prepaid option when configuring your tracker.
Is fitting included, and will I get a certificate?
Professional fitting is included with the standard wired S7, S5 and S5 Plus packages shown here, subject to coverage and appointment availability. Your installation certificate follows fitting, activation and checks. The S7 Battery Tracker is a separate self-fit package.
